Just in case any of my very little amount of followers were wondering, I haven’t been posting because a bad cold kicked my butt back into bed for a couple weeks. However, while I was there this little fella decided to land on one of our sheets that was outside to dry. I think he’s an admiral butterfly, judging from the colour on his wings.
At the big park we were walking around, they have an animal preserve for injured or too domesticated animals to stay in. This little Jay was the only one of its kind there, and when we did our high-pitched pet voice ‘Hello!’, he actually said hello back! We didn’t even know Jays could parrot!
As we were walking around this huge park in blazing hot heat, I noticed what looks like a wasp/possibly just a fly trying to pollinate this flower. He stayed still long enough for me to snap this! The flower could be a snap dragon, and I’ve found in my explorations that they’re very common in this area.
While walking through a huge park not far from me, I noticed something floating in mid-air. The web it was hanging on was hard to see, but thankfully it stayed still long enough to let me take this.
I didn’t think I would find anything like this to photograph while walking in my local park, but this turned out to be a pleasant surprise! This flower is an allium, if my research on it is correct.
This lovely cow and her two adorable calves were on the farm and all they wanted was food! Unfortunately, all they got from us were pats on the head, which they didn’t seem very happy with.
An original window on the grounds of an early 1600s house, which thankfully was open to visitors and to random people taking photos.
I’m not sure what flower this is, but from what I’ve seen it could be foxglove. I love the way they all hang down like bells.
I got my first camera very recently and have already stumbled into taking my first few photographs. I took this one recently on a visit to a local farm where this adorable goat just wanted to be fussed.
